Paul Bunyan Dog Training Association
Paul Bunyan Dog Training Association Inc (PBDTA) is organization of dog owners and dog lovers who meet for the purpose of training our dogs in activities sponsored by national organizations such as the UKC, AKC, NADAC, USDAA, and TDI.
These include obedience, conformation, agility, flyball, rally, canine drill team, freestyle, Therapy dog, Reading Canines, and tracking. We hold seminars on dog related topics. We are always interested in learning about how to do new "stuff" with our dogs and ways to improve our training methods.
We use positive training and always promote good sportsmanship and teamwork. We offer demonstrations at local schools and public events showing the wonderful things there are to do with your dog.
Objectives of PBDTA CLub:
1. To promote responsible dog ownership, training and husbandry.
2. To build the relationship between dogs and people through fun, safe and healthful training and events.
3. To contribute to the community through free or low cost public events, public education, offered training, community service and promotion of responsible dog ownership and implementation of an area disaster preparedness plan as it relates to companion animals.

Fall Therapy Dog Class
If you have a friendly, outgoing dog that enjoys interacting with everyone and you have time to devote to visiting clients/patients in long term care facilities, take the opportunity to "perfect" your skills as a therapy dog team. There are a few openings in the upcoming fall class on Thursday nights Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and Nov. 6 from 6:30-8:30 p.m., meeting in the 4H Building at the Beltrami County Fairgrounds. We will be reviewing basic obedience skills, desensitize the dogs to various equipment they will encounter, role play and discuss pertinent topics related to therapy dog work. Contact Tracy Parthun at 854-7272 or firstname.lastname@example.org for preregistration materials or for further information. The cost for this six week course is $60.00.
